Exclusion Services
Our homes are situated in nature and in nature there will always be rodents, bats, squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons and other types of animals. It’s only natural for them to find food sources and nest. Unfortunately, our homes can be where their food source is and are excellent nesting sites. Due to their sense of being unconfrontational they could be coexisting in places where we normally tend to go in our homes like basements, within the walls and especially our attics.
No matter how new our houses may be there are always holes that exist whether built on purpose for air ventilation or by mistake of the carpenter. These existing holes are great entry points for rodents, chipmunks and squirrels. Other animals like racoons and squirrels may rip their way into a home.
Bats will hibernate in your insulation over the winter. Homeowners may not even know rodents are in the house. Most activity will happen in the attic and will also happen in the crawl space or basement. If you hear quite scratching noises above it may be rodents or bats. If it’s a louder noise than a squirrel may have made their way in.

Insulation Services
Yes, we install insulation! You might be wondering why. First, our insulation are loose cellulose and borate treated. Most insulation companies will not have borated treated insulation. Borate is a safe product that is used in everyday products like laundry detergent, but can be effective with knocking down any insect population in your attic. It is also an irritant for rodents and may prevent them from nesting.
Insulation goes hand in hand with our Exclusion Services. Upon finding rodents, bats and or squirrels in the attic, we tend to find urine and feces on the insulation. We recommend remediation which consists of taking all the existing insulation out along with those that have been contaminated, disinfecting the whole attic and replacing that insulation. It makes sense to do so after shutting all the entry points of the home.
We understand that remediation isn’t for everybody whether its due to finances or not needed. Another option is to vacuum the droppings, disinfect the remaining insulation and we recommend topping off (adding insulation) on top of the existing insulation. Who doesn’t want to save money on their heating and cooling bill? Adding insulation will bring your R-Value up keeping more of the heat and coolness in your home. Majority of heat and cooling escapes through the attic and out through the vents. This also adds value to your home.
